Well, Hello There!

My goodness, it has been a bit yet again! I keep falling off the map but honestly, I needed the break. Things in my life have been going rather well. The biggest thing is that I got married! We had planned on having a wedding in March but we ended up eloping earlier than that in October. It was super fun and exciting and I got to go to Vegas for the first time in my life. Don’t worry, we’ve been together for 7 years now, so it wasn’t some crazy, I didn’t know this person thing. It’s a good thing we eloped, otherwise, our wedding would have been canceled due to COVID-19.

COVID-19 has been crazy and we have been staying home as much as we can, I hope you are too! I gotta say, wearing masks everywhere hasn’t been fun but I understand that it is necessary.

As for my writing, I have been taking a much-needed break from all of my projects. I have so many in the works that I haven’t been keeping track of things like I should. I hope to have a new book out soon but we shall see how that goes. I’ve mostly been focusing on school and work. I graduated this semester with my Associate’s Degree with an emphasis in Psychology. Now, I’ve decided to go to business school instead of pursuing psychology. It a crazy story as to why but I am not going to get into it.

Anyhow, I just wanted to check-in. I know my last post was forever ago and I try not to be away for that long. Just know that everything is alright over here and I hope to have new work done at some point.

Daughter of Athena is still doing well and thank you to my fans for hanging in there with me!

Work

Hi all!

I have been putting a lot of my time into promoting Daughter of Athena and keeping up with my writing in general. I’ve had a few events and they have gone well so far; I hope to keep my momentum up over the summer.

I’m excited to see and learn that the people who have read Daughter of Athena have throughly enjoyed it. Those types of things motivate me to keep sharing my work. Waiting for reviews is difficult, especially as a self-published author but I remain patient regardless.

Between school and my job, it has been difficult to focus on the business side of things but I have been trying. If only I could win the lottery and just sit at home and write forever. Haha, one can dream right?

I remain hopeful and optimistic about things. It’s hard not to get a bit down on myself sometimes but I continue to fight my way through that. Here’s to hoping that Daughter of Athena becomes a success!

Things Be Happening!

Hey all! I know I’ve gone MIA again, I apologize for that. Things have been hectic on my end. Between school, therapy, and work, I haven’t had much time for the things I would like to be doing.

I have been working on promoting Daughter of Athena and I have a couple of events coming up, so I’m excited about those.

I have also been working on the sequel to Daughter of Athena and I hope to have it done within the next couple of months. We will see about that though haha. Sometimes I’m a little too eager for things.

Anyhow, just wanted to stop in and say hi as well as update you all on current events! Much love!

Oh The Frigid Cold

Sometimes I wonder why I still live in Minnesota. I mean, I was moved here as a child so it is not like I had much choice in the matter. There is also the fact that I don’t really see myself living anywhere else. EXCEPT, for days like these.

It is so cold that my nose hairs freeze the second I walk outside. That is absurd and quite frankly, this weather is just disrespectful. I would rather be home writing or doing homework but unfortunately, every one else at the office is out today, which means that I have to be here. Honestly, I’m glad I am privileged enough to have a vehicle because I don’t know what else I would do. Normally, I take the bus to work but I just could not do it today.

I hope everyone else is finding ways to stay warm. I know I’m wearing way too many layers and I’m uncomfortable at my desk haha. We will see how the day goes but I cannot wait for this polar vortex to be over.

Reviews

Reviews are slowly but surely rolling in for Daughter of Athena, and I must say that I am really happy with what I’m seeing. Overall, people seem to love the book, I have not received a review under 4 stars yet. Honestly, I’m a little shocked. I was quite ready for people to tear this book to shreds haha. Glad that’s not happening.

Promotion is tedious and sometimes very difficult. Often things cost money that I do not actually have at the moment. Hopefully at some point I will be able to spend more to get my book at there but for right now, I am satisfied with the work I am doing. Still trying to get a book signing set up somewhere, I just have to make the calls that are necessary to do so. Not to mention, the semester has started and I’m up to my ears in homework right now.

So, as far as reviews go. Keep reviewing and keep sharing with your friends! It is immensely helpful to me and I am grateful for every single review or share I receive.
