The Unity Game- Book Review

The Unity Game by Leonora Meriel

This book was beautiful and captivating. It took me on a journey that I was not even aware that I wanted to go on. It made me questions things and even question stuff about my own existence. Leonora Meriel does a wonderful job of making a reader think and wonder. So many different parts that all fall together in ways that you did not expect them to.  It has been a while since I have read such a gripping story that involves so many beautiful things.

Home Planet, Earth, the In-between; all masterfully described and designed. So much so that I found myself identifying with beings that are not even of this world. I would definitely recommend this book to a friend, I would be crazy not to. Leonora Meriel should be proud, this was a marvelous interstellar mystery.

Going to be in a Bookstore!

This is pretty exciting news! Imitatore is going to be in a bookstore! Boneshaker Books has decided to take a chance on me and I am forever grateful for that. Now, the key is getting this book to sell so that they see people are interested in it. This has been my battle since I published and let me tell you, it is a lot of work.

So if you are in Minnesota, run down to Boneshaker books starting tomorrow and ask for Imitatore by name! I would greatly appreciate it! I cannot believe this is my real life right now!

Mannethorn’s Key- Book Review

Mannethorn’s Key by Simon Lindley

I really enjoyed this book! The story itself was so captivating that I just needed to keep reading to find out what was going on. I enjoy a story of an unlikely hero in a different world. Bart was not the hero I expected and to be honest he still isn’t. While he doesn’t start or end as a likable guy, I enjoyed him as a protagonist. As for Algarth, he was quite the unlikely villain. While he meant to do what was best for everyone, he ended up being entirely selfish. This was not the way I saw this story going.

Mannethorn’s Key starts out with a rather epic battle and then leads you on a journey with so many different pieces. Simon Lindley is quite the master of detail and I enjoyed being able to really see the world that he wanted to immerse me in. I also loved the comedy within the book, nothing makes me enjoy a book more than one that makes me physically laugh. The crescendo to the ending of Mannethorn’s Key left me on the edge of my seat and I am really looking forward to reading the next book! I definitely recommend this book to lovers of wizards, magic, dragons, and just a damn good story.

Tomorrow!

So much to do and so little time to prepare now. Doesn’t help that I also happen to have a statistics test tomorrow morning, so that should be fun (not really but ya know). I mean I guess I really don’t have that much to do, I just feel like I have a lot to do. That is probably because I am nervous as hell about this.

I am so glad that people are coming and are actually excited about this event! This has been my dream since I was a child, so I honestly really can’t believe it’s happening (I know I have said this a million times already). However, it’s true, so I can say it as much as I want.

Imitatore is my baby, well besides my cat, but it is my baby. This has been a journey and I finally get to actually celebrate it! It is gonna be fun!

Release Party is Almost Here!!

I cannot wait for my launch party. I am so nervous about it but I just want it to be here already. Honestly, I hope everything goes well and books sell. I also hope that people are actually interested in the Q & A session that will be happening there as well.

I am just ready to really finally celebrate this accomplishment. Even if books don’t sell, I know I will still have fun! I really don’t have much to say besides that!

Party will be February 7th at LUSH Mpls from 5-7pm! It would be great to see you there!

Events Coming Up!!

I am like so on edge waiting for my release party. I just want it to be here already! Like I hope that people show up but at the same time, I’m happy to be able to have the event. this will be the first time I really get to celebrate the release of my book. I thought about not doing anything but decided against that. I’m weird when it comes to celebrating things about me; I usually don’t like too much attention. I know, I’m a writer, so that statement is cliche and well frankly, an oxymoron but whatever.

Either way, I am preparing for this party and I still have no idea what to wear. I feel like my usual T-shirt and jeans approach wouldn’t be appropriate but club wear would be too far haha. I will figure it out I’m sure, the party is February 8th, so I have time.

In addition to the release party, I will be doing a book signing February 24th at Boneshaker Books as well! I am so excited that this store was so willing to work with me! Next on my list is to topple Barnes & Noble but that’s gonna take time. Lately I have been debating sending my work to an actual publisher but I want to see how everyone feels about it first. It is in my goals for this year, I just have to figure out how to do that.
Especially since it’s basically a novelette and not everyone goes for those. That is not going to stop me from trying!

So I hope you all are reading and enjoying! Get a copy of Imitatore from amazon.com, barnesandnoble.com, and even go to stores and request that they order it! Rate it on amazon, barnes & noble, and on goodreads!
